The house system and prefect roles are an important part of our school life, and part of the way that we encourage leadership among the children. Each July, the Year 5 class vote for the children they think should represent them as head boy and head girl in Year 6. The other prefect roles are allocated according to the child’s particular aptitude. Every child in Year 6 has a prefect role, and they take their responsibilities very seriously.
Prefect roles are:
• Head Girl & Head Boy
• Deputy Head Girl & Deputy Head Boy
• House Captains, Deputy House Captains and Sports Captains for Red, Blue, Yellow and Green houses
• Wellbeing & Garden Monitors
• Attendance/ House Points monitors
• Librarians
• Art/Stock Monitors
• ICT Monitors
• RE Monitors
