Making the sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion is the most important part of being a child in our Year 3 class. We are proud to offer sacramental preparation at the school, and it is such an important part of our school year.
Year 3 meet weekly after school to follow their preparation programme ‘The Bread of Life’. Their sacraments are received at the Oratory Church and they celebrate at school afterwards, with a First Communion Breakfast, and a special assembly where they are congratulated by the children in other year groups. It is a very special time for the whole school.
If your child joins the school in Year 4, 5, or 6 and haven’t yet made their First Communion, then they can join the preparation group. Please speak to our chaplain, Father Edward, if you wish them to take part.
