School Council

School Council is made up of a group of pupils, two from each class, who are voted by their peers to be representatives of the class. They meet the headteacher or a school governor once a month to air concerns and make suggestions. Last year, they were part of interview panels for new staff members, conducted a review of the school environment and formulated a questionnaire for pupils. Members of the council take turns to chair the meeting and take minutes, they report back to their class afterwards and invite responses for the next meeting.
